The young adults pastor of Jubilee Christian Church International, House of Glory, Abeokuta, Kayode Akinsola, has urged young people to embrace purpose-driven living as a pathway to fulfilment and lasting impact.
Akinsola gave the charge while addressing a gathering of youths at the church auditorium in Isale Abetu, Abeokuta, where he called on the youths to renew their commitment to spiritual growth and intentional living.
Pastor Akinsola averred that many youths have become distracted by social media trends, peer pressure and the pursuit of material success, a development he said continues to draw them away from their God-given purpose.
He said, “Your greatest asset is not your popularity, your possessions or your connections, it is your relationship with God. When you focus on God, every other aspect of your life aligns with His purpose.”
The cleric stressed the importance of spiritual discipline, noting that a consistent prayer life and diligent study of the word of God remain essential tools for staying grounded in faith.
He further advised youths to keep the right company and uphold values such as integrity, hard work and service, which he described as critical to achieving a purposeful life.
The well-attended programme featured sessions of worship, reflection and rededication, with many of the participants expressing appreciation for what they described as a timely and life-changing message.
Leaders of the church also reaffirmed their resolve to continue investing in the growth of young people through mentorship, guidance and programmes tailored towards their spiritual and social development.
The event ended with prayers and a renewed call on youths to place God at the centre of their lives while pursuing their aspirations.
